  This isn’t just any football club – it’s a space where dads, grandads, uncles, and brothers who have experienced the heartbreak of losing a child come together to find connection, support, and strength.

Starting out by teaming up with the incredible SAFC Foundation and Sunderland and South Tyneside Hospitals, 4Louis FC is all about turning grief into goals and sadness into solidarity. Whether you’re a seasoned footballer or haven’t kicked a ball in years, you’re welcome here. Every bereaved dad is invited to be part of something meaningful.

• 6:00pm–7:00pm – We kick things off with a cuppa and a chat. It’s a relaxed space to talk about how your week’s been, share what you’ve been up to, or offer and receive support. There’s no pressure to speak – just being there can make a difference.
   
• 7:00pm–8:00pm – After the chat, we head out for a game of football. Whether you want to go full-pelt or just enjoy a casual kickabout, it’s about moving together and bonding through the game.

You don’t need to come every week – some dads join fortnightly or monthly, depending on work or life commitments. Everyone’s journey is different, and that’s absolutely okay. All the dads who come along have experienced different kinds of loss, but the one thing they share is a willingness to be there for each other. It’s a safe, supportive, and welcoming space.

So lace up your boots, drop in when you can, and be part of something truly special.
