About Siblings of Stars
Siblings of Stars is a monthly support group designed especially for children who have experienced the heart breaking loss of a brother or sister. Created by Daisy-May and supported by 4Louis, this group offers a calm, nurturing place where children can connect with others who understand what it feels like to miss a sibling every day.
We know that when a baby or child dies, the whole family is affected — including siblings. Siblings of Stars helps children feel seen, heard, and supported as they navigate their grief in a way that feels safe and age-appropriate.
What We Offer
Our sessions take place once a month at the 4Louis workshop in Sunderland. Each meet-up is thoughtfully planned to offer comfort, creativity, and connection through:
⭐ Memory-Making Activities
Children can honour their Stars through gentle, meaningful crafts such as decorating memory boxes, making wind chimes, creating keepsakes, and more. These activities help them express their feelings in a quiet, creative way.
⭐ Games & Activities
Alongside reflective moments, we make space for joy. Our sessions include games, colouring stations, reading corners, board games, and child-friendly activities that encourage confidence, friendships, and fun.
⭐ A Supportive Community
Siblings meet other children who share a similar experience, helping them feel less alone. Families also benefit from knowing that support is available in a kind, understanding environment.
⭐ A Thoughtful Environment
All sessions are child-led, with optional participation. We create a gentle atmosphere where every child can take part at their own pace. Parents and carers remain welcome throughout.
