Privacy Prams

 Following feedback from both families and healthcare professionals, we recognise that transporting babies and children to the mortuary can be one of the most challenging aspects of bereavement care. In response, we introduced our Privacy Prams to support this moment with greater dignity, sensitivity and choice.

Privacy Prams offer a safe and discreet option for transporting babies and children within the hospital setting, including journeys from the ward to the mortuary or between departments. Their use is not intended to replace existing procedures, but to provide an additional option where appropriate, allowing families to feel their baby is being cared for respectfully and privately.

Each pram includes a double hood to enhance privacy, a small “Respect My Privacy” sticker to help protect families’ space, and a fully wipeable insert that meets infection control standards.

Please note that the pram is not a cooling device. However, it can be used alongside a CuddleCot or other approved cooling methods where required, in line with local policies.

All of our Bereavement Support Prams are created in-house by our team. Each one is assembled with care and attention to detail to ensure safety, compliance and suitability for clinical environments.
