The Wave of Light is an opportunity to join with bereaved parents, families and friends around the globe to remember all babies and children who sadly died too soon.
It is a world wide event that takes place at 7pm on 15th October every year.
4Louis host their annual Wave of Light service at Souter Lighthouse, Whitburn.
Everyone is welcome to join us in lighting candles with a night of tasteful entertainment, including poems, readings and music to create a beautiful remembrance event at a spectacular venue.
We provide candles and remembrance cards free of charge along with the opportunity to come together with other families and friends.
Don't worry, To take part in the ‘Wave of Light’, you can simply light a candle at 7pm local time on the 15th October and leave it burning for an hour.
This can be done alone, as a family or an organised group, at home or an organised event.
You can join our virtual wave of light on our social media by emailing a video of your lit candle over to kirsty@4louis.co.uk prior to the 15th October
Wherever you do this, you will be joining a global ‘Wave of Light’ in memory of all the babies and children who light up our skies.
At 7pm Souter Lighthouse switch on the light during our 1 Minute silence
At 7pm Souter Lighthouse switch on the light, lighting up the waves of the North Sea for all the babies and children gone too soon.
In 2020 we could not hold our annual wave of light at Souter Lighthouse, we reached out and families sent us footage of them singing, reading poems and lighting candles to create this wonderful virtual wave of light.
