One of my grandchildren, Harry, lives in Heaven. He was born still and asleep in May 2013. Since losing Harry I have taken a passionate interest in supporting other families who have experienced the trauma of losing a child. When I retired from teaching in 2015 I became more involved in the Charity 4Louis. They supported my family at our darkest of times. I am honoured to support them and raise awareness of Stillbirth and Neonatal death.
I am now a trustee of 4 Louis and represent them at National Conferences, Hospital Study Days and any fundraising events in aid of the charity.
I became passionate about supporting 4Louis after receiving a memory box from them in October 2015 after the loss of my twins Archie and Ayla.
I hold fundraising events every year in my hometown of Bury, Greater Manchester, in memory of Archie and Ayla and was honoured and overwhelmed to be asked to be a trustee of the charity last year.

It means so much to me to be able to support 4Louis and give something back to them after they have helped me so much and given me lasting memories of my beautiful babies.

I contacted them as I was made aware by a friend at the club of the great work that they do. I had a volunteering day given by my employer and thought it would be great to use it to support the 4louis charity. I have never looked back since that day. I regularly volunteered at the charity and it wasn’t long before I had all of my family volunteering with me.
I have heard lots of stories and spoken to many families about the amazing work of all the team and the difference their box makes.
I am so proud to be a trustee of the 4louis charity and support them in 4louis towers volunteering to make memory boxes, the wave of light, the annual ball and representing them at charity events. If you would like to get involved in volunteering please contact the team and you will be made very welcome in the Sunderland office.

"Paula Parnaby and myself are so proud and honored to be named patrons of 4Louis. The charity has been a massive help to us both since December. We might not have the memories of Poppy that we have if it wasn't for our memory box provided by them. We're now proud to know we can help other bereaved parents.
Thanks to all our friends and family for the ongoing support, helping to raise awareness and a good bit of money in the process."

"Unfortunately for our family the charity had not been founded in 2002 when we lost our little boy Jay. Had the charity have been going at that time then I’m sure it would have been a massive help to us. However we take great pride and joy in seeing the charity help families like ours create loving and lasting memories of their little angels. Thank you to all our family and friends for helping us to raise awareness and money for this fantastic charity. "
